When I bought the saddle. About 3-4 years ago, I had the panels replaced and added real sheepskin lining.

I also had the company add a horn- it originally. Just had the endurance pommel- but I wanted the added security of a horn. The saddle is in fantastic condition with normal wear. The billets are in very good/excellent condition. These are the really great billets that are all leather. Not the billets that are cheap with the synthetic backing that fray. Serial number EL245- this is the Express Lite model.

Made by the original Orthoflex company. Rides like a 16' western- due to the stitch down padding. The stirrups are endurance leather wrapped. The leathers are the biothane with the seat belt like buckle. I kept these covered with wool stirrup covers- so there are limited marks on the leather flap from rubbing. You will not be disappointed. New this saddle was about $4.000.

Saddles from the original OrthoFlex are getting harder to find and tend to be highly sought after. You won't find one in as good condition. I bought this saddle several years ago barely used from a tack shop.

I paid $1750 for it. Then had my local saddle shop add all the beautiful Montana Silversmith Silver to it to dress it up for show. I've ONLY used it for showing so it doesn't have many more miles on it now than it did when I bought it. OrthoFlex saddles are made with a flex panel system enabling them to fit almost every horse. Great for gaited breeds too because the panels allow the horse to move his shoulder freely. I don't know which model it is. It has a narrow twist, super tough boarhide seat with extra padding.

Seat almost feels springy to sit in and is very comfortable. Boarhide is slightly more textured than traditional cowhide and has a lot less slip. Its also more durable. The pommel and horn are low and swept forward so don't interfere as much with the reins as a lot of western saddles.

The shape of the fenders on this saddle allow a lot more movement for the riders leg, and the stirrups are hung under you instead of out in front of you, allowing the rider to sit in a balanced seat position. Drop-yoke rigging means no bulk from the cinch under your leg. The flex panels on the saddle are covered with leather on top and fleece underneath. The fleece is in excellent condition. This saddle is much more close contact than the newer OrthoFlex's, which is one of the reasons I bought it. I had a name plate on the cantle which I had removed before listing it for sale.

The stirrups currently have a no-slip tread attached, which can easily be removed by the new owner if desired. I really love the saddle and I'm sad to part with it, but my dog needs to have surgery this week so I need money before the credit card bill comes due. Well made Hermann Oak leather. Made by the man who made many of the original OrthoFlex saddles. Richard Watson has died and so there will be no more. I would not dream of selling this but I.

Have two others a little bigger that fit my middle aged behind better. New, this saddle would sell for over $2000, and I have over $1400 into it. Watson saddles are built on a flex tree, using the most state of the art Delrin material to provide just enough flex to make saddle fitting much easier. The weight is approximately 17' unrigged, and the panel length is 23' Price includes Easy Care endurance stirrups, lightly used, and barely used fenders- the old ones were pretty worn.

I had brand new panels put on it last season, and so this saddle is tight and ready to go. 14.5' seat would be great for size 6-8 jeans, with 30-38 inseam. The tree is a medium, and while no tree will fit every horse, the flex tree makes this saddle a great fit for multiple horses. The stirrups are hung in a very balanced position. So that the distance or trail rider can keep their legs underneath them where they belong, instead of the western'chair' seat which is so uncomfortable of distance riders. Plenty of rings for all your gear and saddle packs, these saddles are PROVEN to last, proven to provide comfort over many miles. Unlike some flex tree saddles, the Watson does not need'booties' but works great with a thinner to medium thin pad.

And I have a like-new mohair girth that works with it that I will sell for an additional fee if interested) Normal wear and tear, but sound and comfy. Western style endurance fits many horses without the'trapped' feeling of other Orthoflexes I have tried. Also includes a worn but functional set of brown booties that you could send off to have new ones made using the same pattern. Or just use it with a Navajo blanket. I can get any photos/views you'd like to see. Photos shown after a fresh oiling but the color is medium brown.

As such its quality is reputed to be higher than that of more recently. Made Orthoflex saddles from TN. It features ornate tooling all around the edge of the leg flaps and saddle skirt. The panels on Orthoflex saddles move with your horse, allowing him or her to really stretch out, bend, and respond to inconsistencies of the trail.

I bought this used saddle for its reputation, looks, condition, and feeling and it didn't disappoint but it doesn't fit my mustang quite right(he's still young and his top line hasn't filled out yet) so I'm selling it, having used it only a few times. It comes with its original brown cordura booties, which are removable and washable. It also comes with the stirrups, neoprene cinch, and leather breast collar seen in the photos. The saddle stand is not included. The seat measures 16' and flex panels(with the booties on) measure about 24' long. Orthoflex doesn't sell this exact model anymore, and new it cost more than $2000.

Up for auction is a rare and beautiful orthoflex western saddle with basketweave. Silver accents including horn cap, and white rawhide stirrups. This saddle is made to last and made to conform. To the body of the horse. Serial number ORO136 made by Frank Deperno. It is VERY comfortable with a nice suede seat. There is some staining on the left fender from oil.

There are some dark stains here and there which can be seen in the photos. There is a gouge in the leather covering the tree on the underside as seen in the photo.

The seat measures a 17 but a rider used to a 16 will enjoy this saddle just fine. Feel free to ask any questions. Saddle weighs about 40 pounds.
